Welcome to our branch
On 18 April 1996, we launched the Gympie Branch with a lively luncheon at the Community Band Hall in Red Hill. It was a joyous event where 46 wonderful women came together, with 11 enthusiastic newcomers signing up on the spot! Our monthly newsletter has gone through many hands, with different editors guiding its journey. The digital era has brought its share of amusing challenges, from disappearing text to tricky photo placements, but we have tackled it all with plenty of laughs. By joining us, you are not just becoming a member—you are stepping into a dynamic, caring community that celebrates each other and strives to make life better. We would love for you to come and experience the warmth and support we have to offer.
Our activities
For nearly 30 years, the Gympie Branch has been an active hub for older women in our community, offering a welcoming space to build friendships, enjoy a variety of fun activities, and gain valuable insights into available services.
Many of our members have found a strong sense of connection and support here, especially after feeling isolated or dealing with loss. They have discovered a warm, friendly community where they can share experiences and make new friends.
Our mission is to create a place where every woman feels welcome and valued. Whether you are looking for new social opportunities, enjoyable activities, or simply a space where you truly belong, our branch is here to offer that and more.

Join This Branch
Attend a local branch meeting to complete and sign the membership form and pay the $20 annual fee ($10 if joining between January and April). Membership is renewed each July at the start of the tax year.
