Welcome to our branch
It all began back in 1995 with a simple, yet transformative phone call to the Mackay Women’s Health and Information Centre. That call sparked the beginning of an inspiring journey with the Older Women’s Network QLD. Our very first meeting took place on April 2, 1996, where fifteen wonderful ladies gathered to lay the foundation for what has become a vibrant and supportive community.
Today, we come together every Tuesday morning at Andergrove Community Centre, 80-84 Celeber Drive, Andergrove from 9:30 am to noon.
Our activities
Our gatherings are a cherished highlight of the week, where we blend friendship, fun, and support in a welcoming atmosphere.
Our mission is to enhance and enrich the health and well-being of older women by providing valuable information and resources tailored to their needs.
We are dedicated to creating a space where older women can connect, enjoy each other’s company, and find the support they need.
Whether it’s through engaging activities, lively conversations, or simply sharing a laugh, our network is all about fostering a sense of community and making every moment enjoyable and meaningful.

Join This Branch
Visitors are welcome to attend three meetings before they decide whether or not they'd like to become a member of our branch. Attend a local branch meeting to complete and sign the membership form and pay the $20 annual fee ($10 if joining between January and April). Membership is renewed each July at the start of the tax year.
