Queensland Women’s Week 2026

Queensland Women’s Week is here! From 8–14 March, we celebrate the achievements of women and girls across the state, starting today with International Women’s Day!

Queensland Women’s Week is a time to come together, reflect on the progress made towards equality, and work towards advancing women’s economic security. Let’s unite to build a safer, fairer, and more secure future for all women and girls in Queensland.

There are a range of events and activities happening across the state to celebrate this year’s theme: Shaping tomorrow together. It’s an opportunity for all of us to stand together, foster respect for women, embrace equality, and promote the rights, interests, and wellbeing of women and girls in our communities.

Keep an eye out for events and activities happening throughout Queensland in March by visiting the calendar.

Other information. resources and suggestions on ways to get involved can be found at  www.qld.gov.au/womensweek.

Let’s celebrate and shape a brighter tomorrow for Queensland – together!
