PANEL 1 AND Q & A: REPRESENTATION & INVISIBILITY OF OLDER WOMEN
Older women have a wealth of knowledge, expertise, and life experiences that can contribute to crafting more informed and equitable policies. What happens when policies are designed without including the needs of older women? Where are older women in the media? In the design of aged care? And what about older First Nations women? What happens when it is the state which is implicated in the abuse of older women?

Dixie Link-Gordon, Program Coordinator, Aboriginal Women’s Advisory Network
Anne Connolly, Journalist, ABC
Kathy Eagar, Foundation Director, Australian Health Services Research Institute, Adj Professor UNSW & QUT
Jane Waterhouse, Managing Director, Slingshot Media

PANEL 2 AND Q & A : HOW SERVICES CAN BETTER RESPOND TO THE NEEDS OF OLDER WOMEN
What can we do better to ensure that services can better respond to the needs of older women? What are the needs of older women in the CALD community? Why is homelessness the fate of too many older women?

Unis Goh, Life Member, Australasian Housing Institute
Kittu Randhawa, Founder, Indian Sub-Continent Crisis and Support Agency
Sally Stevenson, Executive Director, Illawara Women’s Health Centre
Beverly Baker, President, National Older Women’s Network

This will be followed by the National and NSW AGM and conference dinner.

Please join us!

We hope you can share the day with us and work towards better outcomes for older women in Australia.
